THE 2010 RYDER CUP: JUST THE BEGINNING
The 38th Ryder Cup came to The Celtic Manor Resort on 1 October 2010, its first time in Wales – and we were ever-so-slightly excited about it.
For four days, Wales become consumed by golf as Team Europe did battle with the USA to reclaim the honours lost at Valhalla in 2008.
Arguably the greatest-ever Ryder Cup, it was a big news story across the world. But for Welsh golf it meant even more than a mega four-day event. It helped to create massive new interest in Welsh golf, raising awareness of our many world-class courses and our own special brand of ‘golf as it should be’. We don’t intend to let the momentum slip. Keep up with all the latest by taking a look at our news and blog pages.
